One person. Twenty years of running the kind of business you run. The consulting came last; this page is everything that came before it, and I would say that's the part doing most of the work.
Technology first
BSc Computer Science at the University of Technology Sydney, then a year of the part-time MBA at the AGSM. From 2000, IT Systems Manager at Ticketek in Sydney. High-volume ticketing, where being wrong is public. Then IT Projects Manager at United Medical Protection, running the tech department and the in-house development team for a medical indemnity insurer. Systems that had to stay up for people who didn't care how, which is still the job.
My own company
Founded Hot Power Yoga in Clapham and built it to a million-pound business over the following decade. Payroll, rent, rotas, tax: the unglamorous machinery of a real company, owned by me, every month.
Online
Running an online business since 2017. Content, email lists, payments, the whole operating stack, run by one person. That's where most of the admin I now remove for other people first piled up on me.
AI consulting, own operation first
I rebuilt my own operation before advising anyone else: 13 systems live from that rebuild, plus 2 still finishing, all of it running today on the estate this site documents. FULKRAM LTD came after all of that.
I'm not an agency and I'm not a developer for hire. I read a P&L because I've had to, I've managed technical teams at scale, and I've built two of my own businesses from nothing.
And the honest bit: search my name and you'll find a yoga business too. That's the stage in the photo. Same person, two crafts, and I'm not hiding either one. The studio and the online business are where the operating experience comes from, and the operating experience is the point. I've sat where my clients sit, with the payroll and the inbox and the software bill. dylanayaloo.com is that other business's site, and it's built and run by the same systems I'd build for you.
